Emma is an interdisciplinary researcher, writer & artist who specialises in climate change communication that tears down the ideological walls that separate us from nature. The aim of these workshops is to create new stories of how we relate to each other in paradigms that exist in a place of deep reverence for the life and death cycles that rule our systems of chaos.

With the technologies behind DNA genomics becoming more prominent within the field of ecological studies.

There is an urgent need to explore the cultural dynamics which are impacting the utilisation, analysis and research being produced with DNA sequencing technology. As DNA sequencing allows us to greet our evolutionary relations,

The act of greeting has been on my mind constantly, as I grow to understand the potential DNA sequencing has in allowing me to engage with my relations on this earth in a way that brings us all liberation from the destruction caused by an extractive culture.

To explore this idea I am developing a performance piece which takes place at The Greeting Altar, a place in which I mix acts of ritual (Prayer & Embodied action) within the scientific practice of DNA extraction and sequencing.
