Participant To Do List Before Bio Summit 6.0:

Record Your “Hello, World” Video

It’s a tradition: Every morning at Bio Summit, we take some time to get to know each other.

In 15 seconds, each participant gets a chance to tell the rest of the community about themselves and their projects. Just because we’re virtual doesn’t mean we have to lose this important part of the magic of Bio Summit! Upload a Hello, World video to share with the community!

Access the Google Drive

Participants and attendees will be able to access all conference notes and more interactive content through our shared GCBS Google Drive. For more on how to use the Google Drive, check out our How to Use Google Drive video.

Access the Slack

Slack is our primary method of communication leading up to and during the conference. For more on how to use Slack, check out our How To Slack video.

Read the Statement of Shared Purpose

At Global Bio Summit 2.0, our community co-created a shared statement of purpose. We are building an international community rooted in diversity and inclusion across geographic, cultural, ethnic, gender, creative, and professional backgrounds. Read our shared Statement of Purpose and consider how your interests and activities in the Global Community Bio Movement can contribute to building more diverse and inclusive community, local, regional, and/or global networks.

Read the Community Ethics Document

The Community Ethics Document 1.0 was collectively created by participants of the Global Community Bio Summit 3.0. These ethical principles are intended to be used as guidelines for anyone, anywhere engaged in Community Bio work. It is intended to be a living document that can be revised, built upon, and edited.

Read the Code of Conduct

Participants of the Bio Summit come from diverse backgrounds that span technical and creative, socioeconomic, education, and cultural experience. To make the most of this amazing strength of community, the Bio Summit expects its members to conduct themselves with collegiality at all times - while community members may differ on a number of topics, such differences are to be celebrated rather than shunned. To foster this fun and collegial atmosphere, we expect all participants in the Global Bio Summit community to adhere to the letter and spirit of the Code of Conduct.
